We’re particularly passionate about growing coverage of women’s football across the world, casting eyes on some of the sport’s lesser-known talents and shining a light on the uphill struggle many women face just to play the game we all love.

Our name may have been inspired by Alexia Putellas’ iconic bow in front of 91,553 fans at the Camp Nou, but we all share a common belief: the next La Reina could be anyone, from anywhere. Young girls, whether they’re in Kent or Kabul, should be able to dream of a future like Alexia’s – one where they are La Reina.

We love England and we love the WSL – and we know there’s a very good chance that you do too. For that reason, we’ll always cover it.

But there are often countless stories that go untold, and as we always aimed to do in print form, we’ll look to shine a light on the topics that really matter.

The women’s football community is something special. It’s taken us across the country on delayed trains and across the continent worrying about missing tight connections in unknown countries.

And yet somehow, it keeps drawing us back in. Because when you step off that train, that plane or that horrifically uncomfortable bus, you know you’ll be met by likeminded people – women’s football fans.
